After bumping into Norman at the Stoneleigh Spares Day, I asked if he fancied joining me for dinner with a few of my Jaguar friends to celebrate my 30 years of driving Jaguar’s. Today I pick Norman up from his home and bring him back to Peterborough. The venue was the local pub in the village which I grew up “Fox & Hounds” Longthorpe, Peterborough.

After dinner, it was back to mine for coffee and more of his Jaguar memories. An early start the following day gets us to Hamiltons for 9am so Norman can view our current stock and give his approval – his favourite was a 2001, 12,000 mile, one owner, S-Type 3.0 that we’ve just acquired.

By 10am we are on the road and heading back to Normans Shropshire home. Once there, I stayed for a coffee while Norman showed me his artwork. One of Normans hobbies is to paint landscapes. Some of these are truly spectacular and span 50 years – seems that Norman is a perfectionist at most things!
